How does a composting toilet work?

The inner workings of a composting toilet essentially consist of three parts: separator, urine canister and solids container. The separator leads the urine into the canister, while the solids end up in a bucket with a compost bag. More about the function of a composting toilet

What should I pay attention to when using it?

Why does a composting toilet not smell?

Odors are caused by the mixing of solids and liquids. Separating the excreta and then drying the solids prevents undesirable aromas. More about the odor neutrality of a composting toilet

When do I need a fan?

A fan counteracts condensation, accelerates the drying process of the solids and ensures that fragrances quickly dissolve into thin air. This makes it particularly suitable for long emptying cycles or if your Trelino® is used by several people. Due to its compact dimensions and short emptying cycles, the Trelino® S does not need a fan.

What happens when I have diarrhea?

Diarrhea is not a problem when using a composting toilet. Just use more litter to compensate for the liquid.

Where do I dispose of the contents?

Urine can easily be disposed of in a toilet connected to the sewer system. Diluted, it is also suitable as fertilizer for the home garden or the raised bed on the balcony. The bag with the solids is a case for the residual waste garbage can. Conditionally, composting is also possible. The urine canister and solids container can be emptied independently of each other.

Plastic bags and composting - how do they fit together?

How do I clean a composting toilet?

Good decision

Funktioniert gut, sind sehr zufrieden.
Alles einfacher als gedacht.
Geruchsbelastung wirklich minimal.

Bauweise allerdings verbesserungsfähig.
Deckel bereits jetzt leicht verzogen, schließt erst komplett, wenn sich jemand draufsetzt

Great product

We are very satisfied with our Trelino toilet. Its sooooo much better than the old chemical toilet we had in our campervan. Now we feel totally free when we camp in the nature.

Extrem einfach in der Handhabung. "Einbau" gibt es quasi keinen - abgesehen vom Lüfter. Daher auch wenig Stress beim Umbau. Falls bei Ausbau noch was nötig ist, kann man trotzdem jederzeit sein Geschäft verrichten. Die Lieferkosten nach Griechenland, waren mir persönlich etwas hoch und ich bin gespannt wie sich der Soft Close Deckel mit der Zeit macht und die Verbindung zwischen Ober und Unterteil. Diese lässt sich sehr leicht nicht korrekt aufsetzen und könnte dann brechen.

Ansonsten tolle Materialien - macht Spaß im Betrieb ;-)

Trés bien adapté pour une utlisation au domicile

Pour une utilisation au domicile, pour 2 adultes, la séparation des urines:
- supprime la vidange quotidienne qui passe à 2 ou 3 par semaine
- diminue le volume de sciure, granulés, broyat nécessaire à l'absorption du liquide
Le EVOL L se range facilement, ne prend pas de place, capacité ok
