How does a composting toilet work?

The separation insert directs urine into a canister, while solid waste is collected in a separate container. For easier disposal, this container needs to be equipped with a trash bag. More about the function of a composting toilet
Why does a composting toilet not smell?

Odors are caused by the mixing of solids and liquids. Separating the excreta and then drying the solids prevents undesirable aromas. More about the odor neutrality of a composting toilet
What should I pay attention to when using it?

The correct sitting position is crucial for the best possible function of a composting toilet. For anatomical reasons, this differs for women and men. Further information on the seat position
When do I need a fan?
A fan counteracts condensation, accelerates the drying process of the solids and ensures that fragrances quickly dissolve into thin air. This makes it particularly suitable for long emptying cycles or if your Trelino® is used by several people. Due to its compact dimensions and short emptying cycles, the Trelino® S does not need a fan.
How do I clean a composting toilet?
Cleaning a composting toilet is as simple as its use. The household remedy diluted citric acid has proven its worth. Tips for cleaning can be found here
What happens when I have diarrhea?
Diarrhea is not a problem when using a composting toilet. Just use more litter to compensate for the liquid.
Where do I dispose of the contents?
Urine can easily be disposed of in a toilet connected to the sewer system. Diluted, it is also suitable as fertilizer for the home garden or the raised bed on the balcony. The bag with the solids is a case for the residual waste garbage can. Conditionally, composting is also possible. The urine canister and solids container can be emptied independently of each other.
Plastic bags and composting - how do they fit together?
For us, sustainability and environmental awareness don't end with disposal - we think beyond the garbage can. Our solid bags are made from 100% post-consumer recycled material (LDPE). This makes them a top-notch recycled product whose carbon footprint is significantly lower than that of standard bags made from virgin material. Alternatively, we also offer you solid bags made from renewable, organic materials that can be easily composted.

Very Happy

Very happy with the Trelino, its sturdy, not cumbersome and sooo easy to clean.
I must say the customer service has been excellent, I live in a different country, but feel completely confident in purchasing from them in future.

The only disappointment was we thought it had a sliding trap door on the waste bin not a full lid, its just awkward to get off and then cover it over again

Poor quality, expected the quality to be better for the price. Would not recommend.

Wir sind sehr zufrieden. An die Handhabung muss man sich erst gewöhnen 😂

Mega stabil trotz Leichgewicht

Wir haben in unseren Wohnwagen eine Trelino L eingebaut und diese mit Magneten fixiert, damit man die Toilette regelmäßig kärchern kann. Dann kam der TÜV-Termin und wir hatten leider vergessen, die Trelino für den Bremstest herauszunehmen oder stärker zu sichern. Fazit war, dass die Trelino einmal gegen die Badezimmertür geschleudert wurde, diese sich geöffnet hat und wir die Trelino dann im Wohnraum in Einzelteilen zerlegt aufgefunden haben. Wir müssen wirklich sagen, wir sind begeistert über die Qualität. Nichts abgebrochen, eingerissen, Soft Close funktioniert noch. Obwohl die Trelino superdünne Wände hat, ist das Material einfach top. Ich bin wirklich begeistert, ich hatte damit gerechnet, dass wir nochmal nachkaufen müssen.
