Trelino® composting toilets rely on a simple function: the separation of solids and liquids by a built-in divider. Solids are then covered with litter to minimise odours without the need for chemicals.
Thanks to the separation of liquids and solids and the drying of the latter, the toilet remains odourless. It's hygienic, clean – and a welcome companion for every journey.

Trelino® works without any water to give you the most independence on the road. No flushing, no connections, no wasting precious resources. Just set it up and go.
The liquid and solid containers can be emptied separately and effortlessly. Smooth surfaces without corners or edges make cleaning quick and easy using eco-friendly household cleaners.
What our customers really love
Trelino Step-by-Step Guide
An integrated separator in the seat funnels liquids into the urine canister, while solids fall into a separate container. Solids are covered with litter to absorb moisture and lock in odours. The simple principle: separate, dry, done.

Why more and more campers are switching to Trelino®
Trelino® follows a simple, natural principle: separation instead of chemicals. Compared to traditional cassette toilets, you save water, avoid unpleasant smells and long queues at disposal stations – and gain more freedom and independence.

Frequently Asked Questions
A dry separation toilet consists of a body, a lid and a toilet seat. Its inner parts include two containers and a urine separator. This separates liquid from solid and thus forms the heart of the toilet. The aim is to keep the big business as dry as possible.
For this purpose, the urine is diverted to the front into a canister. To prevent leakage and odors, the lid of the canister has a special membrane. The solid waste ends up in a separate container lined with a garbage bag. Here you can also throw the toilet paper.
To enhance the drying process, sprinkle the big business with bedding material after going to the toilet. Drying prevents the formation of bacteria, which are responsible for the usual odor. For emptying, you can remove both containers separately from each other.
Odors occur when solid and liquid waste mix. By separating the waste and then drying the solids, unpleasant smells can be minimized.
Suitable types of litter include: sawdust, small animal bedding, Terra Preta, coconut coir bricks, litter with activated charcoal, soil, and coffee grounds.
Urine can easily be disposed of via the regular wastewater system or used diluted as fertilizer. Solid waste belongs in the residual waste bin, though composting may be possible under certain conditions.
Cleaning a composting toilet is simple and can be done effectively using mild household agents such as diluted citric acid or vinegar. pH-neutral cleaners or those with effective microorganisms are also suitable. Harsh chemicals and abrasive tools should be avoided, as they can damage the material.
